«EDAPS» will produce online for journalists prototypes of electronic passports, the implementation of which, according to ICAO standards, the EU requires within the framework of the visa-free dialogue with Ukraine
On November 26, 2010, at 13:00, on the territory of the «EDAPS» consortium, a demonstration of Ukraine's capabilities for the production of electronic (biometric) passports for travel abroad will be held. The implementation of next-generation travel documents is required of Ukraine by the European Union as part of the signing on November 22, 2010, of the Action Plan on granting visa-free status to our country.
At the press conference at the Center for Biometric Technologies of «EDAPS», for interested journalists, a prototype electronic passport with the owner's biometric data recorded on a chip will be manufactured online. A check of the correctness of data recording on the electronic chip will be carried out. The opportunity to communicate with the leadership of the «EDAPS» consortium will be provided.
