JSC СIB joined the all-Ukrainian campaign of the National Bank #FraudsterGoodbye

❗️Fact-check❗️: from July 7, the National Bank of Ukraine launches the All-Ukrainian information campaign to counter payment fraud #FraudsterGoodbye. 
 
The aim of the campaign — is to teach Ukrainians the basic safety rules of non-cash and online payments.
 
JSC «CIB» is one of the information partners of the campaign. For us, it is important that as many Ukrainians as possible be protected from the unlawful actions of financial criminals.
 
So, with this publication, we begin a useful and interesting campaign, the information of which can be useful to all consumers of banking services, regardless of age and experience! 
 
«If earlier we were fighting overlays on ATMs, through which fraudsters stole card data, now we are fighting for the awareness of the public, because in most cases people become victims of fraudsters due to non-compliance with the basic rules of payment security», — emphasizes the Director of the Payment Systems and Innovative Development Department of the National Bank, Oleksii Shaban. According to him, last year in Ukraine there were almost 72 thousand cases of unlawful actions with payment cards. 58% of them occurred on the Internet. As for ATM overlay fraud, it has almost faded into the past.
