Based on the results of 2022, the Rating Agency «Standard-Rating» (Ukraine) determined the TOP-3 banks by the level of corporate social responsibility.
The leaders of this rating include the banks:
1. JSC «KREDOBANK»
2. JSC «COMINBANK»
3. Pu JSC «AKORDBANK»
The agency conducted a fresh study of the social responsibility of the banking sector in March 2023.
Both formal indicators, such as banks' expenses for income tax, banks' participation in the market of military domestic government bonds (DGB), and informal signs of social activity, which the banks themselves declared, were studied, namely: conditions for borrowers during the war, participation in social projects, humanitarian missions, financing of projects related to strengthening the defense of cities and resettlement of forced migrants.
Experts noted that the war is one of the largest significant factors affecting the current economic situation in Ukraine. However, against this background, the banking system of Ukraine remains a stronghold of liquidity and a source of credit resources capable of supporting both the Armed Forces of Ukraine and important logistics and humanitarian processes for the civilian population.
JSC «COMINBANK» took an honorable 2nd place. The bank's team powerfully developed charity even before the war. And in December 2022, the bank presented the updated corporate social responsibility DOBROKOLO, within the framework of which a number of charitable initiatives are systemically carried out, in particular monthly aid to a military hospital. And there is more. The list of COMINBANK's good deeds grows daily.
