Commercial Industrial Bank joined the celebration of Vyshyvanka Day!

Vyshyvanka Day in Ukraine and abroad is celebrated annually on the third Thursday of May. The holiday is called upon to popularize Ukrainian culture and traditions, and the embroidered shirt is considered one of the oldest Ukrainian attributes. The vyshyvanka for many centuries was used by Ukrainians in everyday wardrobe, but at the same time was perceived as an amulet – a symbol of health and beauty.

Traditionally, on this day Ukrainians put on a shirt decorated with ornamented embroidery; everyone who wishes comes to work or studies in the most recognizable element of the Ukrainian costume – the vyshyvanka. Residents from all regions of Ukraine join the celebration of Vyshyvanka Day. Throughout the world, festive marches, actions, and flash mobs in support of Ukrainian culture are held. As of today, Vyshyvanka Day is celebrated in more than 50 countries of the world.

Employees of Commercial Industrial Bank also joined the celebration by putting on embroidered shirts for work.
