A lesson on financial literacy entitled ‘Cash and Non-Cash Money’ was given to 2nd grade students at the capital's academy by Victoria Zhezhera, Director of the Marketing and Communications Department at COMINBANK.
In an interesting format, the children learned what a bank is and what services it provides, what types of money there are, how to use a payment card, what methods of payment are available in stores, how to protect important financial information, and more.
The students also had the opportunity to view a numismatic collection and examples of commemorative coins.
"The topic of education, forming a conscious attitude towards money and responsibility is one of the leading ones for our bank. Therefore, I am sincerely glad to meet young listeners who are extremely attentive, open and sincere!
We will continue to promote financial literacy, because it is the foundation for a strong, responsible society. Today, the children learned something new, and tomorrow they will be making important decisions. Therefore, giving them a ‘compass’ at the right time is not just an investment in the future. It is a gesture of trust and faith in the country they will help build.
I sincerely thank the teachers and staff of the academy for the warm atmosphere and hospitality, and the children for their wise questions, openness to knowledge and interest!" commented Ms. Viktoria.
The expert's visit to the educational institution took place as part of the educational project ‘The Banking Profession: A Journey from Step to Bank,’ initiated by the National Bank of Ukraine on the occasion of Bank Employee Day.
A marathon of events for preschool and school-age children, in which Ukrainian banks are participating, began on Bank Employees Day, 20 May, and will continue until Children's Day, 1 June 2025.
More to come!
Let's spread financial literacy among young people together!
