From now on, every visitor to the cib.com.ua website can use the service of instant card-to-card transfers (Visa Money Transfer / MasterCard Money Send). The service is available to cardholders of any class issued by banks of Ukraine. In addition to the service of sending funds by card number, the service of transferring money by phone number is available. If the sender does not know the recipient's card number, they can specify their mobile number. After sending the money, the latter will receive an SMS message with a link, by clicking on which the system will ask them to enter their correct card number and will send the money to it. The cost of such a service does not differ from the traditional p2p transfer service.
«The market of instant card-to-card transfers is growing very dynamically. Monthly it adds about 20% and the potential for growth remains very significant. And although competition on the market is rather high, we believe in the prospects of this direction. The cost of the service for most market participants is identical, so competition moves into the plane of convenience and additional functionality», — explained Dmytro Fedorov, Director of the Retail Business Development Department of the «Commercial Industrial Bank».
According to him, the launch of the service on the bank's official website is just the first step on the way to building a modern online payment system. The bank's strategy provides for the further development of remote access services, including the p2p format.
