The curators of COMINBANK's historical and educational mission attended the forum ‘Diplomacy Today: Ukraine's Role in Global Politics’, which took place on 28 November 2024 on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
The anniversary of this institution is a national event. Over the years, the Institute has graduated thousands of highly qualified specialists who are now at the forefront of Ukrainian diplomacy and contribute to the development of international dialogue and strengthening Ukraine's position in difficult times.
The Forum has become an important platform for discussing key challenges of our time, including the role of diplomacy in the fate of Ukraine today and the impact of international dialogue on the internal processes of our country.
The participants of the event paid great attention to cultural diplomacy, which is the so-called soft power.
The panels covered the issue of approaching victory through the prism of cultural initiatives that can become a driving force in shaping Ukraine's positive image in the international arena.
In total, the forum was attended by 700 people. Among them were Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiga, Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications Mykola Tochytskyi, Minister of Youth and Sports Matviy Bidnyi, Deputy Heads of the Office of the President Ihor Zhovkva and Olena Kovalska, representatives of diplomatic missions, business, teachers and students.
