#FraudsterGoodbye: say NO to phone scammers!

Modern fraudsters, especially phone fraudsters — are a kind of psychologists and actors in one person. They are ready to answer hundreds of your clarifying questions and remove all suspicions. Therefore, the best way is to end the conversation with them as quickly as possible, before they «talk you up». And for this, you need to know just a few clear markers that will help identify a fraudster in minimal time.

Within the framework of the #FraudsterGoodbye program, the information partner of which is #ComInBank, the National Bank of Ukraine details how to identify a phone thief and what under no circumstances should be told to them:

Has this happened to you: an SMS message unexpectedly comes to the phone that your card has been blocked? The details are asked to be found out by phone.
You call and communicate, allegedly with a bank representative, who informs about an attempt of fraud with your card and asks you to urgently report all the details of your card, PIN code, and passwords?
He tries to evoke trust in you, introducing himself as a bank employee. And then puts pressure on you! He frightens you that you will not be able to use your card or, worse — you may lose all funds if you do not provide him with the card details right now — its expiration date and the three-digit code on the back of the card. He says that you need to act quickly, because it will be too late. Also during the conversation, the fraudster may try to persuade you to make a transfer of funds and remove the card limit.
Therefore, always remember that bank employees never call to find out the specified information!
Immediately end such a conversation!
