From August 5, 2019, in accordance with the resolutions of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine No. 162 dated 28.12.2018 and No. 41 dated 22.02.2019, all banks of Ukraine, including JSC «CIB», will open new accounts for clients in the IBAN standard.
During the period from 05.08.2019 to 31.10.2019, a transition period will be in effect, during which it is possible to carry out settlements both using accounts in the IBAN standard and in the old account format.
The application of IBAN from November 1, 2019 will become obligatory for clients of all banks of Ukraine when carrying out money transfers both in national and in foreign currencies, in particular when carrying out cross-border transfers. That is, all transfers from November 1, 2019 will be carried out only using accounts in the IBAN standard.
Thanks to the introduction of IBAN, clients of banks will be able to:
conveniently and simply identify the payer and recipient of funds, as well as the bank of Ukraine that services them; avoid errors in account details thanks to the reduction of details in settlement documents; carry out transfers and receive funds faster.
Starting from 05.08.2019, you can find out your IBAN number at the Bank's branches or by phones of the Bank's Contact-center 0 800 501 200 (calls are free within Ukraine).
