An investment account for non-resident individuals is a current account in foreign currency and/or in hryvnia opened by a foreign investor in an authorised bank for the purpose of carrying out investment activities in Ukraine, as well as for the return of foreign investment and profits, income, and other funds received by a foreign investor from investment activities in Ukraine.
An investment account can be opened by individuals who have permanent residence outside the territory of Ukraine and wish to carry out investment activities in Ukraine.
An investment account can be opened:
- in UAH;
- in foreign currency (USD, EUR, RUB, GBP).
By opening an investment account, you will be able to:
- top up the authorised capital of a legal entity;
- purchase property - apartments, houses, etc;
- purchase securities or corporate rights;
- return investments and profits (income) received from investment activities in Ukraine;
- receive income from investment activities.
By opening an account, you will receive:
- favourable rates for account maintenance;
- the possibility of agreeing on an individual exchange rate when buying/selling currency in the foreign exchange market;
- convenient and comfortable service in the bank's branches;
- expert advice.
It usually takes no more than 15 minutes to process.
Account opening and maintenance can be carried out by power of attorney.
The procedure for performing operations:
1. Opening investment accounts (in foreign currency and in UAH).
2. Crediting funds in foreign currency to an investment account.
3. If necessary, provision of documents confirming the origin of the funds (to find out whether it is necessary to provide documents, please call the branch for advice).
4. Sale of currency in the foreign exchange market.
5. On the same day, UAH is credited from the sale of currency.
6. Provision of documents confirming the use of funds (e.g., a purchase agreement).
7. Transfer of funds.
The following documents are required to open an account:
- passport;
- taxpayer registration number (if any).
If necessary, documents confirming the origin of funds may be provided:
- contracts of gift, sale of property, documents on inheritance;
- a statement of cash flows on the client's account with a bank stamp;
- a certificate from the bank on the flow of funds on the account for the amount of investment.
- The documents must be provided for the amount of the investment; the statement or certificate may be issued by a foreign bank. Translation of documents drawn up in a foreign language is provided upon request.
