On the basis of the Law of Ukraine «On consumer lending», taking into account the amendments introduced according to the Law of Ukraine «On amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and other laws of Ukraine regarding the support of taxpayers for the period of measures aimed at preventing the occurrence and spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19)» dated 17.03.2020 No. 533-IX we inform you that for the period from March 1, 2020 to April 30, 2020, JSC «CIB» will not apply penalty sanctions:
1. Penalty, fine, increase of the interest rate to Borrowers – individuals in case of delay in performance (non-performance, partial performance) of obligations under the loan agreement (non-payment of the obligatory minimum payment, payments to repay the principal debt, interest for the use of credit funds, commissions according to the loan agreement, untimely insurance of pledged items, untimely provision of financial reporting, untimely conducting of inspections of the state of pledged property, and others, etc.), incl. under an agreement concluded in the form of an Application (offer) to join the Rules of banking service of individuals at JSC «CIB».
2. Non-application of penalty sanctions does not require the conclusion of additional agreements to the corresponding loan agreements (incl. under an agreement concluded in the form of an Application (offer) to join the Rules of banking service of individuals at JSC «CIB»).
We would like to note that the adopted Law of Ukraine No. 533-IX of 17.03.2020 does not release the Borrower from the performance of their obligations to the Bank:
to repay the loan; to pay interest for the use of the loan; to pay commissions and other payments provided for by the loan agreement (with the exception of penalties and penalty sanctions); to perform other monetary and non-monetary obligations under the loan agreement (for example, annual insurance of the mortgage/pledge item, conclusion of other insurance agreements, providing access for inspection (examination) of the pledged item, submission of necessary documents to the bank, etc.).
