JSC «CIB» warns about a new type of cyber fraud, which is carried out by sending fraudulent SMS messages. Using fake bank names, fraudsters send SMS messages to clients that are displayed on clients' mobile devices in the general SMS message feed from the bank, in connection with which they are perceived as reliable and legitimate. Thus, this can lead to misleading the client and to financial losses.
Therefore, we remind you, never disclose or report to third parties Your data, in particular:
- card PIN code;
- three-digit code on the back of the card (CVV2 / CVC2 code);
- its expiration date;
- code from SMS;
- password for «CIB-Online» Internet banking.
JSC «CIB» never makes requests, including through SMS messages and/or telephone calls to its clients – holders of payment cards regarding the verification of the details of the issued payment card or clarification of personal data (code word, Internet banking password, etc.).
The Bank has all the necessary information to service Your card.
If the SMS message received on behalf of the bank refers to the disclosure of Your personal data and/or You have doubts regarding its content – do not report any data and immediately call the Bank's hotline at 0 800 501 200 to clarify the information!
If you realized that You accidentally disclosed Your personal data to fraudsters or suspicious operations are taking place on Your card – immediately block the card by calling the Bank's hotline at 0 800 501 200.
If You have become a victim of fraudsters – write a statement to the Cyber Police, or report Your case by phone – 0 800 505 170.
