COMINBANK became an official partner of the ROC forum: COMMUNICATORS DURING WAR, which traditionally took place at UNIT.City.
This year, the bank's team, together with the charity fund ‘How are you, brother?’, created an interactive stand where participants could ‘heal a wounded heart’ with their own hands — symbolically filling its cracks with golden lines.
The concept of the stand is based on the philosophy of the Japanese art of kintsugi (‘golden seam’) — a technique in which broken objects are repaired with lacquer and gold. Such actions supposedly transform scars into strength and uniqueness. And they convince us that what was broken can become even more beautiful!
This visual image is close to the idea of ROC — Recovery Oriented Communication.
For the second time, the event brought together community leaders, military personnel, veterans, psychologists, communicators, volunteers, and responsible businesses. The organisers achieved their main goal — to show how honest, empathetic communication helps people live through the experience of war, transforms trauma, and supports their return to life.
Throughout the day, participants heard many sincere stories — sometimes painful and shocking, but extremely important for understanding reality and finding effective ways to interact with it.
