The head of the bank spoke about the digital security of banks in the conditions of wartime challenges:
«Every bank possesses important information about thousands of clients, individuals, and legal entities. And today, during the full-scale war, obtaining such data is one of the treacherous goals of the enemy. Because of this, banks become objects of numerous DDoS attacks. Yes, not 100% of criminal actions are connected with russia; sometimes there are cases of ordinary crime. However, most of them do have russian roots.
The enemy's goal is obvious — it is creating the maximum level of psychological tension and artificially causing rush demand for the use of banking services in order to «paralyze» the banking payment system. And also — an attempt to obtain important confidential information.
No less of a problem are information attacks and hostile PSYOPs aimed at undermining trust in the banking system of Ukraine.
The scale and frequency of such attacks on banking infrastructure force financial institutions to build a multi-level security system. At COMINBANK we constantly improve our system of protection of clients' personal data, using only certified software.
