Kyiv. February 4. INTERFAX-UKRAINE
The Commercial Industrial Bank (CIB, Kyiv) plans in 2016 to increase its regional network by more than twofold — to almost 50 branches, said the Chairman of the Management Board of the bank, Vadym Berezovyk.
"In 2015, the bank began forming a basic regional network, having one Kyiv branch, and already by December the regional network included 19 branches. The bank's business plan for 2016 provides for the opening of about another 30 branches", — V. Berezovyk told the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
According to him, the bank's structural units will be opened in Zaporizhzhia, Rivne, Ternopil, Sumy, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Dniprodzerzhynsk, Kremenchuk, Bila Tserkva, Melitopol, Brovary, Illichivsk, and other cities where the bank is not yet represented, as well as in cities of the bank's presence
- Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv, and Khmelnytskyi.
"We view the opening of new branches in practically all regional centers as a launching pad for the bank's development. The priority area for the Commercial Industrial Bank is support for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as working with individuals. For this, we need the development of both basic branches and remote sales channels", — said the banker.
It was previously reported that CIB is undergoing a process of changing ownership: the current shareholders Yurii Sydorenko (66% of shares) and Ihor Usenko (33%) are transferring their shares to the new owner, who will own 100% of the bank's shares.
In November 2015, it became known that one of the founders of the Ukrainian scrap metal collection holding "KVV Group" Yevhen Kazmin intends to acquire 100% of CIB shares.
The Commercial Industrial Bank was registered in 1993.
According to the data of the National Bank of Ukraine, as of October 1, 2015, in terms of total assets, CIB ranked 109th (UAH 247.2 million) among 123 banks operating in the country.
