The number of offers from Ukrainian banks for guarantee services is very significant. According to estimates by Yevhen Dmytrenko, Head of the Department of Documentary Operations and Trade Finance, no fewer than fifty banks have guarantee operations in their product lines. However, no more than 10 of them can meet client needs. According to him, today clients are looking for the opportunity to issue a guarantee quickly and with a minimum package of documents.
«We can ensure both speed and convenience. We are ready to issue a guarantee in just one day for a new client, and in one hour — for a client who has signed a limit agreement. Moreover, we currently have a campaign within which the client can receive a guarantee on the same price terms as at their previous bank», — says Yevhen Dmytrenko.
According to him, the guarantee services market has decreased by 10-15% over the past year. Mainly due to Ukraine's low sovereign rating, which strongly affected the ability of Ukrainian banks to provide international guarantees, and the sagging tourism market. However, demand for guarantee operations is rather high.
Demand for services is formed by tender guarantees, as well as tourist guarantees. Even despite not the best times for the tourism business in Ukraine, the latter enjoy stable demand, since obtaining them is mandatory for travel agents and companies.
