We remind you of our attractive deposit terms for individuals in hryvnias: short-term for a period of 1-3 months at 9% per annum and long-term for a period of 18-24 months at 12.75% per annum.
We inform you that from now on, the amount of deposit reimbursement by the Individuals' Deposit Guarantee Fund for the period of martial law and three months after its end is set within the balance of funds on accounts, then – no less than UAH 600 thousand.
The corresponding decision is established by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, which adopted the Law of Ukraine dated 01.04.2922 No. 2180-IX On amendments to the laws of Ukraine on ensuring the stability of the system for guaranteeing individuals' deposits (the Law).
In accordance with the Law, the norm on full reimbursement of individuals' deposits by the Deposit Guarantee Fund for the period of martial law and three months after its termination or cancellation has been introduced.
During the specified period, the Deposit Guarantee Fund reimburses each depositor of the bank funds in the full amount of the deposit, including interest accrued as of the end of the day preceding the day of the start of the procedure of withdrawing the bank from the market, except in cases provided for by part four of Article 26 of the Law of Ukraine “On the system for guaranteeing individuals' deposits”.
This norm applies to banks for which decisions on withdrawal from the market will be made after this Law comes into force.
Three months after the termination or cancellation of martial law, the guaranteed amount for deposits will be at least UAH 600,000.
This will apply to banks that will be recognized as insolvent after these norms come into force.
