COMINBANK is among TOP-30 banks with the highest regulatory capital adequacy

On 30 August 2023, the Rating agency Standard-Rating (Ukraine) for the second time published an information and analytical study of the stability of the banking sector of Ukraine, which collected the results of a diagnostic survey of the banking system, the main trends and tendencies that may significantly affect the development of the banking system of Ukraine.

According to the survey, COMINBANK was ranked among TOP-30 banks with the highest regulatory capital adequacy. 

The position of COMINBANK (JSC) in this rating was commented by the Head of the Bank, Tatyana Putintseva:

"In December, our bank will celebrate its 30th anniversary - 30 years of operation in the Ukrainian market. It is symbolic that we are now among the TOP-30 largest banks in the country, and today we are also among the TOP-30 banks with the highest regulatory capital adequacy. Each of these achievements is a testament to the resilience of the Ukrainian people, a well-deserved recognition of the work and efforts of Cominbank's specialists, as well as the 24/7 operation of the entire financial sector of the country.  On the 18th month of the large-scale Russian aggression, we are pleased to note that the level of capital provision of the Ukrainian banking system has increased, as well as the level of liquidity provision. This is how we are bringing victory closer together, each on our own front!"

The study notes that the total regulatory capital of banks in Ukraine has been growing steadily since October 2022: since then and by 01.07.2023, it has increased by 28% to UAH 251.5 billion. This trend is due to the growth of banks' profitability, in particular due to the high level of interest rates on NBU deposit certificates and government bonds.

The experts of RA "Standard-Rating" assessed this picture positively, as along with the increase in profitability, the level of solvency and security of banks has also increased.
